Upwards of 1,300 new Welsh-language and English-language titles of interest to Wales are published every year. The Distribution Centre aims to keep in stock every Welsh-interest title possible, where publishers are able to offer wholesale terms. Terms and conditions for distributing are 55% of the retail price of every copy on a full sale or return basis, with an initial stock of 30 copies; invoices will be paid after 12 months only. If you accept these terms, please send a copy of your book, together with your contact details, to Helena O'Sullivan . The Department will then decide whether the Welsh Books Council will stock your book. Should a decision be made not to stock your book, it can still be listed on the www.gwales.com website as available from the publisher only.
The Welsh Books Council operates as a distributor only, and it is the responsibility of the author / publisher to promote and market the book.
Information about every title held in stock at the Distribution Centre can be found on the Council's information and ordering site, www.gwales.com.
Over 800 outlets have accounts at the Distribution Centre. A next-day delivery service is provided if orders are received before 12 noon. There is a delivery charge on orders to the value of less than £66.66 net. Booksellers may apply to open an account by contacting the address below.

602,000 items were sold through the Welsh Books Council’s Distribution Centre in 2012/13, amounting to £4.5 million (gross).
The Distribution Centre is self-supporting and receives no subsidy from public funds.
