A
TRUE TASTE OF WALES
The latest catalogue produced by the Welsh Books Council
will give the readers a true taste of some great books
from Wales.
The publication Cookery Books from Wales has been specially
produced to promote a selection of English and Welsh-language
titles reflecting the growing interest in food produce
from Wales.
As well as books by TV chefs Angela Gray, Dudley Newbery
and Ena Thomas, the booklet also includes a number of
books of traditional Welsh recipes, from Anglesey Eggs
to Bara Brith.
We are confident that this new publication will
bridge an obvious gap in the market, said Elwyn
Williams on behalf of the Books Council, and that
it will promote sales of the excellent material that
is available in both languages.
This latest catalogue is part of a series produced by
the Councils Outreach Scheme to promote books
from Wales and follows the catalogues promoting Books
from Wales and Welsh Language Novels. The next
publication will be published in March and will feature
titles associated with Dylan Thomas, contributing towards
the celebrations held this year to mark the death fifty
years ago of the Swansea-born poet.
