Wales Book of the Year Short List

In a glamorous ceremony hosted by Literature Wales in Cineworld, Cardiff on Thursday 7 July 2011, the author John Harrison was presented with a £10,000 cheque for his novel, Cloud Road - A Journey Through the Inca Heartland (Parthian), which was named the 2011 Wales Book of the Year.

The other two shortlisted books were Terminal World (Orion Books) by Alastair Reynolds, and What the Water Gave Me (Seren) by Pascale Petit.

The Media Wales People’s Choice Prize, which was chosen by the public via an online poll, was awarded to Tyler Keevil, for his novel, Fireball (Parthian).

The Welsh-language winner is Ned Thomas for Bydoedd - Cofiant Cyfnod (Y Lolfa).
